Kid Frost - Terminator (1985)

Kid Frost
Terminator
Produced by Dave Storrs
Electrobeat Records (1985)
Back on the 80’s tip today. I know I said I week of 80’s joints last week (Fresh, I hear you) , but you know how shit do*.
Back to it: This has got to be one of the oldest instrumentals I can stomach. It’s so Miami Vice that I can smell the denim and cocaine and bubble letters just hearing it, but in reality it’s a West Coast classic. Out in 1985 on Electrobeat Records and produced by Dave Storrs, this is one of the earliest appearances of Kid Frost, Aka Frost, Aka the Hispanic Panic, west coast O.G. who’s still dropping records (as of 2005).
Dave “The Alien Wizard” Storrs was a west coast electro producer who crafted joints that are still getting played to this day (a recent Fabric Mix CD featured two of his his joints, Killer and Body Rock, from the mid 80’s). Wanna talk old-school status? He had joints on Breakdance: The Motion Picture. Now that’s old-school.
*I had other concerns (mainly the fact we rocked a show sunday with T.O. legends Mathmatik & Motion that was dope as all hell).

Ha, ok this was well worth the wait. The Ice-T throwback pic was nice, too.
