Hitting you up with some freshness on this lovely morning. This is a classic sample, flipped many times by many cats (I also like the Andy Caldwell version on Mushroom Jazz, but my instrumental of that got stolen five years ago by my shithead roomate). But what makes this version stand out is the fact that it’s Soul brother No. 1 on the boards, with the chef and the masta handling the verbals. Off NYC underground label “Nature Sounds”, I figure I’d drop some lovely ish before I get back into the trap music.
