Now I can’t believe I forgot about this bloke. I’m supposed to be hooking you up with the hot, rare shit, and I was slacking, I’ll admit. So I’m taking it across the pond and giving maximum respect to a longtime Jungle (or Drum & Bass, whatever) producer gone straight hood. Adam F (government Adam Fenton) rose to fame in the UK and abroad during the heyday of the Rave explosion rolling with the kingpin label at the peak of the era, Metalheadz. During these peak years of E’d up love piles and Light up whatever, Adam dropped classics that redefined the genre like Metropolis, even winning a MOBO (Music of Black Origin) for his 97′ album COLOURS. Ironic how the “Golden Age”, production wise, of Hip-Hop and Drum & Bass was 97-98? Anyone else get that?
After making a bajillion or so dollars from Hardcore Ravers and Coked Up mangly toothed British clubbers alike, Adam Returned to his early influences and focused instead on making balls to the wall, NYC style Hip-Hop and used his substantial industry connects to reach out to the US scene. After the lip-licker himself LL Cool J heard a CD, it was a wrap, and after lacing him a a few joints on G.O.A.T, Adam’s own 2001 EMI album, KAOS - Acoustical Warfare, dropped and with guest’s like Pharoahe Monch, Redman and CNN I urge y’all to check that, because while it’s not a classic, it’s pretty fuckin’ good and the beats are BANANAS.
This one right here features M.O.P. and is as advertised, crazy as fuck.
More to come!

Clearly a fan of Premier with this one. Classic MOP steez and woulda been even better with Monch on it. Ain’t fucked with Cool J since the Canibus beef, never checked on GOAT simply cause of the title.
Golden age of Drum & Bass was 97-98 you say? I dunno I guess I’d co-sign but I aint really feel that sped up shit unless it had an mc on it.

I think dude means the fact that we still ain’t doing it consistently on a production tip as we were
back in the late 90’s. Yeah good stuff is still around, but you ain’t seeign Dilla, Nottz, Rza and those cats on major labels now, you just get Scott Scorch and fuckin’ Lil Jon.
I also couldn’t get into that jungle shit, but I’ll admin those niggas knew drums man.

When I saw M.O.P. in the title and then saw the picture of that blonde cat, I thought you were posting the MOP/LFO collabo (which I’m still trying to track down). This beat was dope though, hadn’t heard it before.
