The ‘net is a wonderful thing for this reason: This site let me connect with aka brownsugar, who’s been schooling me on the serious heat coming from the French Hip-Hop scene. He put me on to this BLAZING joint from Khondo, a French cat who (from what I can gather from google translator) is a veteran in his country the way we’d consider Cormega or AZ over here. Commercially he might not be a golden child yet, but the man has got game for days. So much in fact that he broke tradition and did up his last album, Deux Pieds Sur Terre (Both Feet Planted) in Detroit, linking with Slum Village for this joint, and Insight, (a cat who I’ll get to in the future).

The producer is a bit of a French Hip-Hop dynamo. 20Syl runs his On&On Records out of Nantes, but also raps, is a member of the 4 Time DMC champion C2C crew, has a clothing line, and is, according to my connect, catching serious buzz on youtube with this right here. If dude can lace joints like this all the time, I don’t think catching buzz will be any type of problem. It’s a certified head nodder and a total bite of dilla’s style, but fuck it I can’t be a hataer with a joint like this.
