Grand Knuckle?

Grand Agent - Under the Circumstances (2005) - Produced By Oh No - Download
Forgive me for not slabbing up some instrumentals, but my bandwidth is getting rocked this month, so for the next 2-3 days I’ll be linking up some albums hosted on some lame-ass download sites, like other blogs.
This right here is the latest album from Philly’s Grand Agent, formerly of Name, solo for a minute now and signed to upstart label Soulspazm, who’re also responsible for albums from Pumpkinhead and the totally slept on Hezikiah, who’s also doing his falsetto g’ funk thang on this album. Why this album though? Didn’t I mention it’s produced entirely by Oh No and mixed by longtime Lootpack fam DJ Romes? Oh. Well it is, and it’s knocks.
I think these two make a nice connect, with Agent’s new flow being much less “traditional underground” and more new-school coke slang, and Oh No’s production hitting all the right buttons. We got his Double-Dragon 8-Bit banger style on “Behind The Wall”, some old school bay area shit on “Jake up” and some nice G-Funk shit on Fascination and Reluctant Rapper. By far the best beat is Ooh-La-Lah, where T-Dot’s own Liv L’Range drops a verse over a nice classical loop, Stone’s Throw style.Short disc, with 10 joints, (2 of them Interludes), but I’d take 8 dope tracks over 16 rabbit turds of filler any day.
