A moment if you will, for Kut Masta Kurt.

With close to 15 Years of solid, dependable beatmaking under his belt, you think more folks would recognize one of the west’s best underground producers, but since a majority of his work is for “weirdo” rappers (Kool Keith, Motion Man, Chino XL) or perpetual Undergrounders like Dialated Peoples, Planet Asia and Rasco, it’s easy to see why he’d be overlooked during these lean, stringy years of hip-hop we’re stuck in.

Not only did he produce a bulk of Kool Keiths only listenable work, but Kurt’s dropped classics like “Work the Angles” for Dialted, a fuckin’ burner for PMD off Kurt’s last “Redneck Games” best-of-album (which was known as Redneck Olympics before a nasty cease-and-desist letter from the International Olympic Committee) and Motion Man’s entire “Clearing the Field” album, but he dropped this little remix right hurrr that’s been on LOCK since I got it (My own Diverse stan-ism aside)

Kurt’s remixes are always wildy different than the original, layered with maaaad kuts (I mean, it’s in his name dummy) and generally better, save the work he does for emo-fag posterboys Linkin Park. I mean, this single dropped about two years since the bollywood vibe got done to death, but he still makes it blaze. So, let’s all take out our copies of The Platform, or Redneck Olympics…erm…Games (which y’all should buy.) or Clearing the Field or even Sex Style and play a few jjoints for the ig’nant heads who don’t know.
