Dead Prez - Hell Yeah (Instrumental)- Download
(Produced by Downbeat Production Collective (M1 & Stic.Man))
The M1/Umi (From Dead Prez) show on Friday was literally one of the best, most inspiring shows I’ve been to. Mad love to my team Mutescreamz for bringing me through, and mad respect to Spin from RSU for pulling it off . Logikal Ethix and Unknown Mizery along side the Poor Man Militia (Shouts to K-O, KDB, Guilotine and the rest) burned their opening slot to the ground by dropping the never before heard B-Side to the upcoming 12″ “Black Silhouettes” (Produced by *ahem* yours truly) and the classic Richman/Poorman, laced by Arkeologists. Intense.
Umi from P.O.W. is one to watch…that kid tore it up with some totally on point and very politcally charged shit and M1 proved why DP has longeivity in the game by pulling 1 1/2 hours out of his hat and proving that intelligence can captivate a crowd as easily as dancing girls and video screens and all that shit. The feeling was like hearing an incredible lecture or panel discussion at university and coming away with a new look on things.
My opinion? This is good news for us that do real music and don’t chase the American moneycarjewelsgirlsguns thing. If you don’t know, T-Dot is a city of haters, who love to shit on everything and hate paying for shows, CD’s or anything art related at all, but SPin packed that splace to the tits and the truly bugged part was that people were there to listen, not to party….people ask if the jam was good? Hell yeah.
